XLSDataWriter Setting to Overwrite Output File

Hi,
I don't see any setting to overwrite the output file(s). The user guide only indicates the setting for specific sheets.

Is there something I missed, or do I have play around with phases and system commands?

  Hello,
  you're right - xls file is never deleted. But if you set the sheet name as an existing one, the whole sheet is replaced by a new one. If you want to delete the file, you have to use SystemExecute or JavaExecute component in previous phase.

  My sheet name will be dynamic based on the data flow, so I will need to delete the file to ensure I don't get the wrong data. Can you log this as an enhancement request to have an option to overwrite the existing file?
  
  In the meantime, I'll use the work-around.
