Error when create metadata from database

Hi,

I create metadata from MS SQL database, it is always said "Metadata extraction failed: The result set is closed" what dose it mean? why it show the error and how to solve it?

Hi Jean,

I have a lot of questions if I may:

1. Which version of CloverETL and MS SQL do you have?
2. Does it happen with all tables or just with the specific one?
3. Does it happen in some other DBs like MySQL or Oracle?
4. Does it happen in local project or in CloverETL Server project?
5. Which steps did you follow before this error appeared? (Preferred way is via Outline pane -> Metadata -> New metadata -> Extract from database.)
6. Did Window -> Show view -> Other... -> General -> Error log show some stack trace of the error?
7. Did you use standard sqljdbc.jar driver?

Hi,
1. Clover Version: 3.5.0.036M2 and MS SQL 2012.
2. Just specific one that have field type Date (from my first estimate).
3. It just happen when use MSSql, for DB2 is not error, for oracle I never try.
4. In local project.
5. It appeared when I do at Outline pane -> Metadata -> New metadata -> Extract from database.
6. Yes, it show error ( as in attached picture below).
7. I use sqljdbc4.jar driver.

Can you please send us create statement of the specific database table?

We will try to reproduce this behavior on our side. I hope it should help us to solve this issue.

Hi tushu373,

the points (questions) provided by Lubos earlier in this thread were placed in order to find out the original cause of the issue. Without trying them it is difficult to reproduce the issue. Therefore, could you please try these points and provide us with the results?
