Clover Engine 4.0.4 and java version

Heya,

We're starting to look into upgrading our clover engine from 3.4.0 to 4.0.* and I had a quick question. The readme.txt in the zip says that Java 1.6 is required, but I seem to recall reading that 4.0 required Java 1.7? Is this true? Also, do you have a reccomendation for 32 vs 64 bit?

  You are of course correct, Java 7 is required. I have started a new issue in our bug tracker to update this information in readme.txt, see https://bug.javlin.eu/browse/CLO-5889
  
  Regarding 32bit/64bit, both versions are supported. The preferred type is Oracle JDK.

  Thank you for the reply - good to know I read that right. One more question: you say that you support both 32- and 64-bit, but I assume the release on SourceForge is 32-bit? Are we expected to compile it ourselves with the source distribution if we want 64-bit?

  The SourceForge release is universal, it depends on the Java used. If you want 64-bit, just use 64-bit JDK.
