How to connect MySQL and Clover ETL ?

hello,
i am using CLOVER ETL , and MYSQL database in my system.
I have the data in MYSQL database.
so i want to fetch the data from clover ETL .
when i am creating a connection between the CLOVER ETL and MYSQL it says "communication link" failed...
Can Anybody help me with this...... pLease.......

  what the message exactly is? Probably your connection is not defined properly.
