This guide provides instructions on how to manage user accounts and permissions within CloverDX Customer Portal. Let's start by explaining the differences between administrator and end-user accounts.
Administrator vs end-user accounts
Administrators have access to all licenses; they can also manage license plans, request license changes and perform user changes, as well as create and manage Professional Services requests to ask for assistance from our Data Engineering team.
End-user accounts have limited access and are restricted to viewing only licenses directly assigned to their individual user accounts. End users cannot manage license plans or request license or user changes. They also cannot create or manage Professional Services requests.
Team management
Team management is accessible only to administrators and provides full control over user accounts. You can access it through this direct link, or find links to it in the hamburger menu, or the menu that appears after clicking on your profile icon.
Within Team management, administrators can add, disable, enable, modify user accounts, and adjust their access levels.
To edit a user's information, locate their record, click the edit (pencil) icon, and make the necessary changes to name, email, phone number, job title, role, and account status.
After clicking on Update, the changes are automatically applied.
Important notes
- Duplicate email addresses are not allowed. If a user's email address already exists (for example, if they have registered for our trial package in the past), contact CloverDX support at support@cloverdx.com or by logging a support ticket for assistance.
- Changing a user's email address requires them to use the new address for future logins.
- Administrators cannot modify their own accounts through this interface. Use My account on the left side for personal information updates.
- For changing your own email or permissions of your admin account contact CloverDX support.
- When disabling a user, verify if they have any assigned licenses. If so, ensure that the licenses are reassigned to another appropriate user to prevent unnecessary license consumption.
