Description
In CloverDX Designer 7.6.0 on Windows, Designer may stop responding when opening or editing a subgraph if Windows display scaling is set above 100% (for example, 125%, 150%, or 200%).
The issue occurs only when a visible component or note in the subgraph is positioned sufficiently far above the top edge of the canvas. The approximate Y-axis thresholds depend on the display scaling level:
- 125% scaling: around Y = −80
- 150% scaling: around Y = −35
- 200% scaling: around Y = −15
Regular graphs, jobflows, and other file types are not affected. The issue also does not occur on:
- Windows with display scaling set to 100%
- macOS
- Linux
Workaround
- Close CloverDX Designer. If it is frozen, end the process using Windows Task Manager.
- Open
CloverDXDesigner.iniin the CloverDX Designer installation directory. Add the following line directly after the
-vmargsline:-Ddraw2d.enableAutoscale=false
- Save the file and restart Designer.
This disables the HiDPI autoscaling introduced in CloverDX 7.6.0 and restores the scaling behavior used in Designer 7.5. Affected subgraphs can then be opened and edited normally.
Resolution
The issue is fixed in CloverDX 7.6.1, which is planned for release next week.
